Did you know that some of the worlds finest beaches can be found on the Brazilian coast.

On Brazil’s east coast about one and a half hours’ drive from the World Heritage City of Salvador, lies the resort of Costa Do Sauipe. The 425 acre eco-friendly resort boasts miles of tropical virgin beaches.

At the heart of the resort is Villa Nova do Praia, a small town designed as an authentic Bahian seaside village complete with cobbled streets, a small church, a few bars and restaurants and a selection of handcraft shops.
Excursions available locally include bird watching, whale watching (available July-October), eco tours, and horseriding.

North East Brazil is home to long stretches of sand backed by coconut groves while the south offers dramatic bays situated amid tropical jungle as well as the charming resort of Buzios, which has an almost Mediterranean feel.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, ranks amongst the world’s most beautiful cities thanks to Copacabana beach, Sugarloaf mountain, Christ the Redeemer statue and the spectacular Carnival atmosphere is the must visit destination to be included in any tour of Brazil and South America.

The second largest city of Brazil, Rio de Janeiro is located on the eastern coast of Brazil and has so many places of interest for the tourist to visit and things to do.
In addition to an internationally famous Rio carnival (February) there are beautifully restored music-filled bars and dance halls to practice the samba.
Rio has an historic centre which houses the natural history museum and an exotic botanical gardens.

Although the city is often publised using pictures of Copacabana beach, Rio de Janeiro actually has 80 kilometres of beach, and other beaches at Ipanema, Leblon, Barra, Recreio, Botafogo, Leme, Grumari, Prainha, Macumba, Joatinga and Praia Vermelha (located at the foot of Sugarloaf).

Buzios, Brazil: Buzios has an almost Mediterranean feel, but is located on Brazil’s north east coast with some of the world’s finest beaches, backed by coconut groves while the south offers dramatic bays situated amid tropical jungle.

Costa Do Sauipe, Brazil: The eco-friendly 425 acre resort of Costa Do Sauipe has miles of tropical beaches and Whale watching excursions are available from July to October.
Costa Do Sauipe is located on Brazil’s east coast, about one and a half hours drive from the World Heritage City of Salvador.

Salvador, Brazil: has a historic centre that is a UNESCO world heritage site following a period of restoration to return its original Portuguese charm.

Iguassu Falls, Brazil: Although they are not the worlds biggest or widest falls, Iguassu Falls are considered by many people to be the best falls in the world with more than 275 individual falls along a one and a half mile stretch of the river Iguassu.
Iguazu Falls is generally considered to be in Brazil but are actually located on the Argentina Brazil border, so you could see the falls only from one side but most visitors choose to cross the border between the two countries. Like Niagara your trip is not really complete without a boat trip under the falls to give you a real soaking. More Information about Iguazu Falls Holidays.

Sugarloaf Mountain, Brazil: is only one (but most famous) of a group of three mountains located near to Rio de Janeiro. The other two are called Morro da Babilonia (Babylon Mountain), and Morro da Urca (Urca’s Mountain).
Whilst most tourists will take the easy route to the top using the cable cars, Sugar Loaf and the other two mountains are very popular with rock climbers and is the most famous due .

Christ the Redeemer, Brazil: Christ the Redeemer is the 5th largest statue of Jesus in the world and sits on top of the 700 meter Corcovado mountain looking down on the city of Rio de Janeiro
The statue of Christ is the most photographed tourist attraction in Brazil. Although you can drive, we recommend that you take the 20 minute train jouney from Cosme Veho station through the Tijuca Forest up Corcovado mountain to reach the foot of the statue. Once up there you will have a panoramic view (unless you have fog) which includes Sugar Loaf Mountain and the bays around Rio de Janeiro.

Amazon, Brazil: The Amazon rain forest offers a number of option for tourists from travelling along the Amazonas, Negro, Solimoes and Urubu Rivers to treking adventures through the jungle.

Sao Paulo, Brazil: The capital and second largest city in the world has attracted tourists for many years for a different reason. Every November the Formula 1 circus rolls into town when some of the worlds highest paid sportsmen take to the rather outdated facilities of the Interlagos race circuit. But this is a race with great atmosphere and the Brazillian fans have a real passion for Formula 1 which makes a stay Sao Paulo for a few days to take in the race a perfect addition to any tour of Brazil and South America.

Sao Paulo international airport allows access from most parts of the world and with domestic flights to Rio de Janeiro, Foz Do Iguazu and many other cities in Brazil it makes it easy to add on a stay in Sao Paulo to Brazil or South America tour.

Many of the Brazil Holiday Tours fly in and out of Rio de Janeiro or are combined with a visit to other destinations in South America such as Buenos Aires, Argentina.
