Your first night is spent in the air en-route to Shanghai, where you will spend the next 2 nights in a 4 star hotel.
A 2 hour flight from Shanghai takes you to Wuhan. On arrival, you will have a 6 to 7 hours coach transfer to the docks near Yichang. Here you will board the Yangtze Cruise ship for a 4 night cruise on the Yangtze River. You will visit the Three Gorges Dam and pass through the Wu gorge and Qutang gorge. Visit Shibaozhai Temple and Fengdu.
On arrival at Chongquin, walk around the cobbled streets ofCiqikou, then it’s a 5 hour coach journey to Chengdu where you will spend 1 night.
Visit the Chengdu Panda Research Base.
A 3 hours ride on the bullet train from Chengdu to Xian, home of the Terracotta Warriors, where you will spend 2 nights. Previously known as Chang’an, Xian is home to some of China’s most diverse architecture and ancient sights.
A 2 hour flight from Xian takes you to Beijing where you will stay for 3 nights
Whilst in Beijing, you will enjoy a 3 to 4 hours escorted walk through Tiananmen Square and into the magnificent Forbidden City. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through the warren-like hutongs. Later, enjoy a visit to the Temple of Heaven.
The next day will start with a 2 hour coach ride to the Juyongguan Pass for a walk on the Great Wall of China. Later, visit the Jade Museum. In the afternoon, stroll through the Summer Palace.
Your final day is spent in the air after departing Beijing for London Heathrow.
