This 16 day accompanied tour is designed to include the iconic sights and treasures of China.
Your first night is spent in the air en-route to Beijing, where you will spend the next 3 nights in 4 star hotels.
Whilst in Beijing, you will enjoy a 3 to 4 hours escorted walk through Tiananmen Square and into the magnificent Forbidden City. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through the warren-like hutongs. Later, enjoy a visit to the Temple of Heaven.
The next day will start with a 2 hour coach ride to the Juyongguan Pass for a walk on the Great Wall of China. Later, visit the Jade Museum. In the afternoon, stroll through the Summer Palace.
A 2 hour flight from Beijing takes you to Xian, home of the Terracotta Warriors, where you will spend 2 nights. Previously known as Chang’an, Xian is home to some of China’s most diverse architecture and ancient sights.
A 1 hour and 15 minute flight from Xian takes you to Wuhan. On arrival, you will have a 6 to 7 hours coach transfer to the docks near Yichang. Here you will board the Yangtze Cruise ship for a 4 night cruise on the Yangtze River. You will visit the Three Gorges Dam and pass through the Wu gorge and Qutang gorge. Visit Shibaozhai Temple and Fengdu.
On arrival at Chongquin, visit the Chongquin Zoo Panda House, before a 1 hour flight to Guilin, one of China’s most stunning and panoramic cities, where you will spend 2 nights.
The next day, you will take a 4 hour cruise from Guilin, along the Li River to the village of Yangshuo, where you will spend 1 night.
A 2 hour flight from Guilin will take you to Shanghai where you will stay for 2 nights
Your final day is spent in the air after departing Shanghai for London Heathrow.
